WARNING: Adult only post!

A 2 year old child was run over in a banking and financial area or China by 2 cars within the space of a minute, then left in the road by many passers by!

Footage is taken from a surveillance camera placed on a local TV station headquarters. Yue Yue was walking in a hardware market in Foshan, Guangdong province, on Thursday, about 100 meters away from her home, when she was run over.
Seven minutes after she was first hit by the van, a bank clerk noticed the girl and moved her to the curb. The woman then tried talking to the shopkeepers but received no response or told to mind her own business. A few seconds later, the girl's mother appears and rushes away with the girl.

Yue received emergency surgery in Foshan before being transferred to the General Hospital of the Guangzhou Military Command of the People's Liberation Army in Guangzhou. Chinese authorities have supposedly caught the first driver. He was quoted to have said "If she is dead, I may pay only about 20,000 yuan ($3,125). But if she is injured, it may cost me hundreds of thousands yuan," before giving himself up to the police.

The girl has been pronounced "brain dead" by doctors and remains on life support in intensive care, "She couldn't breathe on her own," said Wen Qiang, of the ICU department on the day of the incident. The most optimistic estimate is that the girl will remain in a vegetative state on life support.

Unconfirmed reports that the toddler died on 16 / 10 / 2011:
"...doctors said the girl died yesterday from severe brain injuries she had suffered in the accident."

  3. Wow...i guess to us that looks horrible. To them though, this sort of filth and rotten behavior might be more of a usual thing. There may not be as many laws, or simply morality to take great notice. I mean, what do you think would have happened if this happened in a crowded street like this in the USA? Most likely, there would have been immediate attention. Unfortunately we can't really change how things are viewed in other countries, and this is truly saddening footage.

  6. I keep reading about the dangers of helping someone in China. For liability reasons. Really? Is that REALLY how things are? It's a child, for the love of man!
